Question 8pin CPU Power but PSU only has a 6+4pin.

Short and sweet, do I need to get a different PSU?

Tldr version: Building a computer for someone using all the hand-me-down parts I have on hand. Finally started building only to notice the CPU power is an 8pin slot and the PSU I have only has a 6+4pin for CPU power. It's definitely a questionable PSU that I just happen to have (Apevia Win-500XSPX) and I have no problem with simply getting a different one, I just wanted to make sure this isn't a situation I can salvage somehow.

Edit: After looking up a few things I realized that this post is a waste of everyone's time and would appreciate if a mod could delete it or we can let it sink into oblivion. Thank you!

well u may need different PSU, as this one is really questionable

btw post your pc parts list, so i can suggest some decent PSU based on your build

a side note, that 6pin is pcie power plug, it can be converted to 4pin eps...but i wouldnt paying extra for cables just for this psu unit

Who knows, have heard about edits being in a "waitlist" (similar) for approval so something like that.
