i have an 8pin motherboard and a 24pin powersupply so can i use 6+2 connector for the motherboard? or can i use the 4+4 pin for the motherboard?.. or should i just get 24 to 8 adapter ..

i have a dell inspiron 3650 pc, and a gamemax powersupply i guess.. im currently using 2 powersupplies and i want to move to nzxt h500 to use only 1 powersupply

You cannot use the 6+2-pin PCI-E connector. They have a different pin layout. You will need the 24-pin to 8-pin ATX PSU adapter.

to get the 24pin PSU to connect to a 12v 8 pin motherboard you need an adaptor I had to use one for my 7020 dell board.
