Dear Friend :

I just bought a VGA Card Elsa ATI FALCOX 955 128 MB DDR ( 8x AGP), but seems like it wont work with my motherboard ( ASUS P4C800-Deluxe), it said that my AGP running at 1x AGP where it's supposed to be 8x , and i checked with the direct-x ver 9, and in the display section, said that, the AGP Texture Accelleration is disable, then i did some bios upgraded, and the result are still then same, i'll ready change the bios setting in AGP Section into AUTO Mode, also my OS is XP, Btw , i did some checked too with another mainboard ( ASUS P4VP-MX / 4 x AGP system), it's working very well and perfect, but why with P4C-800 Deluxe mainboard wont worked ? , any suggestion........

thx

First of all, that has to be an error in the program, your board doesn't support AGP1x. But it could be running with a bunch of the AGP features disabled if you haven't installed the drivers properly.

The FIRST thing you have to do when building a system with that chipset is load the Intel INF update. THEN load the video card drivers. The INF update includes updated driver files for the CHIPSET, so it comes first. And it was included with your motherboard CD.
