970 Evo lower than expected read speeds

Hi all! Just purchased a 970 Evo 1TB to replaced my 950 Pro as my main drive. write speeds are 2500 , Iops are where they need to be, however the read speed is like 2500MB, same as my 950 Pro.

Yes, all the obvious have been eliminated, ( Fresh install, latest NVMe driver, firmware, etc) Motherboard is an Asrock Extreme 6 Z97. which offers full PCIe 3x4 M.2 Ultra speeds.

Anyone else have a similar issue ?

Read speeds are exactly what they are supposed to be....

The 960 EVO achieved to about 1600 MB sec reads, which the 970 improved to about 2100 MB/sec...; 2500 MB/sec for the larger models...

While I respect your response and the review, advertised speeds and other reviews include Crystaldiskmark & ATTO indicate read speeds of 3400, those of which present results of 2500MB on my system
