[SOLVED] 970 evo nvme m.2 not recognised

im having a problem installing my samsung 970 evo nvme m.2 ssd, im using a pci adaptor and my motherboard is an intel dx79si, when i install it it is recognised in my cimputer and in disk management, i ran windows 10 usb boot drive and management to install windows on the 970 evo but when i go into the bios its not listed as a boot device and windows wont boot although i have installed windows on it, any help very welcome thanks

Not all motherboards of that era can boot from an NVMe drive, especially in a PCIe adapter.

If your BIOS is fully up to date, you may simply be out of luck.
