Looking for advice please As I no nothing about PC's my question is will a Samsung 970 Evo plus work an be compatible with Asus 690 pro mobo and the i7 12700k CPU 32gb Kingston fury.

Hey there,

The short answer is yes. It should work just fine. Although the 970 Evo is not PCIe 5, all PCI standards are backwards compatible.

Example, my 970 Evo PCIe 3 device, works fine on my PCIe 4 m2 slot. Will be same for you.
