I recently got the 970 Pro Gaming Motherboard. I'm very new to PC building but I followed the manual to the best I can and managed to get the power going and the LEDs on but the monitor says"no signal". The motherboard doesn't have an outlet to a VGA cable. My GPU is the GTX 1050 ti, I have the HDMI cable hooked up but does my monitor need the DVI cable from the GPU?

Solution
That CPU is a complete piece of garbage and you shouldn't waste your time with it.
the lower end fx-8300 series CPUs are far better.
Just get a different CPU, not a different mobo.

Also that power supply is a fire hazard.

I have both a 6 pin and a 4 pin that can fit into the 8 pin, but i wasnt sure which to use and i wasnt sure if it would ruin anything. Should I use the 6 pin or the 4 pin?

I notice though that my GPU, GTX 1050 ti, has a DVI port, is that necessary to use and hook up to the monitor?

Alright I tried plugging the 4 pin into the power slot and my PC wont turn on via the power button, LEDs start up but vans or anything wont turn on now.

Never mind I received connections and it now powers on and now the LED for the power is on. Everything is working and all fans started up, but my monitor still says No signal. Anything that could be causing this. The only PC to monitor connection is the HDMI.

I will test each single slot. But one thing I noticed when I was turning on the pc and looking over the parts that a red LED was lit up, I checked the manual and it says that it was Q LEDs and this one was the Red CPU_LED, any idea what this could mean?

I tried all RAM slots but nothing changed. What do you mean by what CPU using? I also noticed that the red light goes away when I take out the 4 pin power cord out of the 8 pin slot.

Update: I took out the CPU, cleaned and reapplied the thermal paste and set it back place making sure that it placed correctly but the CPU LED is still a solid red. Suggestions?
