which will draw more power?
which will be faster for encoding x265 at 1080p?

9900K will be faster and will draw more power...and lets not forget heat so good cooling required.

Based on Hardware Unboxed preliminary results, 5.2 GHz seems unlikely for the majority of 9700K/9900K processors, and 5.1 GHz on all cores requires both luck and a chilling unit.

Just watched Jays2cents and he managed to get his 9900K to 5.2Ghz with a 240mm AIO... I think it will just depend CPU to CPU and the cooling. A good 360mm AIO or custom will get to 5.2GHz...then again maybe not.

so 9700k will more overclockable ..but that will not make much difference..ok got it..thanks for the quick reply everyone
