980 or 1060 4gb

im buying a new gpu and i cant decide between a gtx 980 or a gtx 1060 3gb. the 980 is obviously a stronger performer in games but the 1060 is cheaper and lower power consumption, i do have the money for either but it would b nice to save some, however will it come back to bite me if i go for the 1060 3gb? or shall i get the 980?

How much will you be paying for a GTX 980 4GB, and how much will you pay for a GTX 1060 3GB? In comparison, how much does the GTX 1060 6GB cost?

980 is 240 and 1060 is 200

i would go for the 1060, the 980 is more expensive and uses more power at around 400 watts when compared to 150 from the gtx1060 and is not much faster than the 980, perhaps 20% faster but is minimum 500 dollars, the 1060 sounds to me a better option to me for many reasons

i would get one with 3 fans and forget the 980ti unless you have a very specific reason to search for a 980ti

well, for that price, worht to consider, if it is the ti, if not, i would go for the 1060

the 980 alone is basically the same 1060 but the 6 gbs 1060 has more ram

the 980ti is the one to get but don't think it costs 240 second hand

The GTX 1060 3GB is a cut down version of the GTX 1060 6GB. Not only does it have 3GB VRAM less, but Its overall specs are also lower. Less cores and such.
