I posted a while ago that I was having some issues with a 980 pro (was never able to solve them) https://forums.tomshardware.com/threads/samsung-980-pro-issue.3757268/.

I ended up getting a brand new motherboard (MSI Edge z690) and another 980 pro, and I am having the literal same issues as I was having above with another motherboard/ ssd. The SSD was working fine for the first 2 days and now is disappearing/ games won't run off it even if it's showing in disks.

At this point, I literally do not know what is happening. Could there be some sort of short in my case? The CPU is the same, no bent pins or issues with the motherboard. I just don't know anymore.

I should add also, VMD is disabled, any power options related to PCIE lanes are disabled in bios. All stock, did not make any changes.

Anyone have any ideas?

GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
include the make and model of your PSU, if it's been in service for a while, then include the age as well. Check and see the BIOS version for your motherboard.

I ended up getting a brand new motherboard (MSI Edge z690)
