980 Ti for 3840x1080?

Just curious how it'll perform at dual 1080p monitors for most games?

i7-5820K
32GB memory
250GB SSD
980 Ti

You would only be playing on one of those monitors and have something on the other one, so a 980ti is very overkill, with most games being over 100FPS. 980ti is better for 1440 or even 4k.

A single 980 ti for dual 1080p, may be okay. That resolution is rather weird, so I can't say for sure. But using 2 monitors for gaming is harder.

I can't expand surround to play on both monitors? Dual 1080p I thought is similar to 1440p

You can use dual monitors as one. NVIDIA surround. I don't think 1440p is the same amount of pixcels as dual 1080
