I love to upgrade. I have 2 780 3gb evga ftw cards installed. I like open world games.. Gta, Far Cry, fallout, etc. I was thinking of selling my 2 780's that are 3gb and purchasing one 980 ti and upgrade to a second later....

Any thoughts?

Big question, what resolution and hz are you gaming at?

I have a 780 and the 3gb vram is starting to be a problem in a few games even at 1080p, the though of putting more money into a 3gb solution is not very attractive to me. For this and the fact I want a decent jump in performance is why I going to get a 980Ti after our summer holiday.

Your in a different position due to have sli 780's, sure you have already looked up the benchmarks

Thanks ChiefSpartan117 I agree but I've now decided to upgrade my projector first. I went with the Optoma HD25-LV from the HD33 because of higher lumens and contrast ratio. Figured no matter what I throw at the projector it needs to project it better. 980ti SLI will happen, I know me....Thanks

Well I upgraded my projector and can say it is 10x better. Better than the video cards would of gotten me. 1800 to 3500 lumens and 4000:1 to 20000:1 contrast ratio... Reaper, I play on a 1080p 60hz projector so I couldn't get the higher resolution. A better display is what I needed in the long run.. Thanx y'all

Gotcha...you can always DSR it though, I notice the difference. Nice though on your projector.
