Question 9800 x3d, best mobo pairing? New build

I'm building a new PC and wish to use a 9800 x3d processor... as I wish to future proof as much as possible, I would prefer an 870 platform. With issues I've read regarding ASUS (QC) and Asrock (frying 9800 x3d?) I guess I'm leaning towards MSI and/or Gigabyte. I'm also probably getting a 9700 XT for gpu pending release later this week and checking some reviews. Any comments on my thought process?

Where are you located? What is your budget for your motherboard purchase? What is your preferred site for purchase? What form factor are you looking at(if you're building a small form factor build)?

Good points, budget isn't a concern but if I put a number on it, less than $400. Building in a Lian Li 216, I think it supports up to a e-atx... for purchase, I do have a local Microcenter and would prefer to get the mobo, processor and ram together so if any issues come up, it is an easier replacement (location Denver metro).
