9800XT for 1680x1050?

I'm looking at buying a new 16:9 LCD monitor, with a native resolution of 1680x1050. I currently have an ATI Radeon 9800XT, and would like to keep it for a few more months until I upgrade MB/CPU/video all at once. Looking on the ATI website, it says: "16:9 aspect ratio monitors are supported on 1920x1080 and 848x480 on Windows® XP". Am I screwed, or does it really support 1680x1050?

Load your monitor's drivers and it should appear; if not then add it using powerstrip:

If you have difficulty uncheck "Use DDC information".
