on the Intel Processor forum, someone posted asking about why there was no availability in australia, the forum moderator showed what i have to assume is Intel's attitude toward this issue of "paper releases"
The moderator is Al Hill, and i can only assume he thinks he's a "big frog" in a little pond
Throughout his response to the OP, he was not only not courteous, he was openly combative and somewhat insulting, so i chimed in that if he didn't have anything to offer, insulting the OP with his attitude only exasperated the issue for the OP - so he threw the same attitude at me, and i questioned if this is what passed for "customer svc" at Intel. His response to that sez it all, just arrogantly dismissive and confirms to me that if i spend money with Intel, i'm spending it with the wrong supplier. Al Hill, is the moderator, and one set of responses copied and pasted below - link to the thread is down at the bottom

Thanks for the tip. Now, wait for the processor like everyone else.

I am not customer service. I am not an Intel employee or contractor. I am a volunteer. Anyone can voice their opinion, as long as they keep the thread clean. When you do get your i9, and if you have any problems with it, please come back and report the issue. That is what this forum is for.

well at least intel is getting their money's worth - but i hate to break it to you, this forum and any like it are "customer svc", but the lack of courtesy in your tone, to both the OP and telling me to go "wait for my processor"
with people like you representing intel, in whatever capacity, i'll go to AMD.
what's your motto? Costing Intel customers, one customer at a time

i suspect he is an Intel engineer, and assigned to mod a few forums. At least that's the way it was a few years back
