so since i sold my 9900k and i want a 3700x build mainly cuz i’ll be mining a lot as well as editing and gaming and streaming

what’s better

9900k with 32gb 2400mhz ram and z370 prime motherboard

or

3700x with 32gb 3600mhz ram and b550a motherboard

i’m not even kidding i don’t think a 9900k deserves to be tortured by such slow ram and such a horrible motherboard 🤢🤮

the 3700x on other hand would be getting 64gb memory upgrade in the future. i would put 4200 but it says 3700x can only support up to 4200?

i honestly think the 3700x would get way better benchmarks in this case since the ram+mobo are much better

either 3700X with B550 motherboard or i7 10700F/KF with B560 motherboard, with the same memory specs like 3700x.

i made some money selling that i9 so i can either wait till holidays sales or upgrade to 3700x right now! i can also get 11700k but i’m not spending 300 on mobo

i just want my own custom build, at the same time i wanna check 12th gen out

decisions…

at the same time i’m waiting to hopefully get a 3080/3090

all i got is 6600xt but that’s okay! i play at 1080p

i prefer a 22 inch monitor

you think 3700x will be cheaper than 220 during holidays? if not i’ll just get it now

for 220 i get 65tdp, cooler, and the cpu and there’s a bundle with a b550a you get both for 380

so that leaves us with memory and of course i’ll get 32gb royal which is 200$

that’s 600 some dollars with everything + i’ll upgrade to 64gb during holiday sales

so yea i got 6600xt for 425$ and add around 650 for mobo, ram, motherboard and that’s around 1100 and add more ram and we’re at 1250

so for 1.25k we have 6600xt, b550a, 3700x, 64gb royal, and i’ll probably put this build into a nzxt guardian till i find a case i like

oh and not to forget i have 2x superflower argb psus that cost me 250$

not too bad of a build?

of course i’ll be adding some argb strips to the build as well

so yea once i get more gpus they’ll be mining!

Most Ryzen 3000 series could only run at 3600mhz max 1:1 with infinity fabric. also they dont scale well using 4 dimms, compared to ryzen 5000 series, While 5000 series could run 4000mhz max 1:1.

11700K would be alot of power drain, but if you need that pcie 4.0 then go for it. i would personally prefer 5600x or 5800x (or 5600g and 5700g) on amd side and 10700f or 10850k/10900f since theyre more budget efficient compared to 11700k.
