Hello! Until recently I only had 2 sticks of 4GB ram. Today i bought a new 8GB stick of ram and after I seated it on my motherboard, I only have 7.96GB usable out of 16GB in System . I placed the first 2 sticks on ram on slot 1 and 2 so they don't link each other in dual-channel and placed the 8GB one in the 3'rd slot. How can I unlink them or what settings do I have to change in BIOS in order to have all 16GB usable? all 3 sticks are 1600mhz 9CL, the only difference is that the 4GB sticks are HyperX Fury and the 8GB one is HyperX Savage(shouldn't affect the functionality, right?)

Solution
Functionality, yes, quite possible. The Savage as with most tradition DRAM is based on XMP where the Fury run off PnP. I'd go the 8GB stick in slot 1, go to BIOS raise DRAM voltage + 0.05 and set the CPU/NB voltage to 1.25, save, exit, shutdown then add the 4GB sticks in slots 3-4 so you have 8GB in each channel and give it a try

Tried that as well, only 4GB of ram usable when I do that

Finally after i done all of that and it didn't work, i started randomly switching switching the 4GB sticks around and 8GB in slot1 and 4GB in slots 2 and 4 worked. Thank you for the reply
