Hey guys!
I got a $320 budget and need a medium end gaming pc for upcoming future games and also manage a gpu. Would an i3 2100 or 2120 be a good choice with gtx 660? Or should i get i5 2400. I don't want things on ultra. Just want some decent fps on medium to high settings.
P.S any good nvidia gpu suggestion would be appreciated

Solution
found this on pcpartpicker for a build someone already made

for your budget, an AMD processor will probably be better than an i3. but im sure someone else can make a better build for you.

I would just search pcpartpicker though and filter down to 400$ (because a lot of people include the OS)

PCPartPicker part list: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/tT4K99
Price breakdown by merchant: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/tT4K99/by_merchant/

CPU: AMD A10-5800K 3.8GHz Quad-Core Processor (Purchased For $85.00)
Motherboard: Asus A88X-PLUS ATX FM2+ Motherboard (Purchased For $75.00)
Memory: Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory (Purchased For $23.00)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 750GB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive...
what about OS? just trying to figure out exactly what you need because with 320 its a VERY tight budget especially considering windows alone will cost you a quarter of your budget.

also just so you know... for that budget youre not getting medium-high. youre probably looking at medium settings with 30 fps would be my guess

so all together... correct me if im wrong... but you need

CPU
Mobo
RAM
GPU
Case
OS
HDD

Solution
Depending on the game, a system under $500 will not run on medium to high settings. Even at $500 that is about a minimum for a lower end gaming system. For anything demanding on medium settings at good frame rates you need over $500.

A system with just an A10 CPU, no video card, will be on low settings in modern games if you want smooth frames, even then there will be quite a few slowdowns during game play with uneven FPS.

Would be OK, 660 is better ofcourse, but you still need a decent power supply, motherboard, case, hard drive, RAM etc... which would easily get you well past $320 unless you get used parts.

Yea thats a good one. But i thought i should get a good gpu like gtx 960 and go for a q9650 which i will upgrade sooner or later. Than i won't be having to buy a new gpu whenever i upgrade?

It will bottleneck, a GPU like that is too powerful for a CPU like that.
