ryzen is not very good for high fps gaming at 1080p, especially if not overclocked on top

it usually falls in the 60 - 90 fps range on most newer titles

you want an i5 8600k or i7 8700k for a 1080 ti

Don't you mean a 2600x over a 1600? Its about $10 difference and more power.
I wouldn't go down the intel route now adays, they are on their 3rd chipset in 2 years. (which means you can't upgrade). As for faster fps, its less than 5% on most, plus the Ryzen is normally better on minimum frames, which is better because you want constant minimum over maximum.

the 2600 is only 10% better than a 1600

an i5 8400 is on average 10 - 20 fps better than a 1600 @ 4ghz

so no ryzen is NOT within 5%, ESPECIALLY if you are high refresh rate gaming

XD with a 8600k or 8700k you wont need to upgrade for over 5 years

$10 for 10% faster and includes a Wraith Cooler
He is on a budget - as stated. $10 here or there won't matter.
Depending on which website you read, games are faster on one or the other, as well as depends on what game you want to play
6/12 cores is better than 4/8 cores no matter what - because future games will use more cores. As well if he wants to stream and run other software, more cores is better when software gets updated.

1080ti is getting overbudget too >.<

so for gtx 1080 is 1600 oc ok?

with everything i.e peripherals too it is 140000 inr (2100$) in India including taxes/customs.

Question 1 : Is the cpu a problem or the monitor?
Question 2 : If I go with gtx 1080 with r5 1600 oc to 3.8ghz in 1080p@144hz what is the max fps(approx) i would get?

If it is 90+ fps then i m ok with it, customs are 18% so dont want to give load on budget.

OR should i go with 1070 and i7 8700?
