A good pci network adapter

I have 60mb/s broadband from virgin media but on steam I get usual 2mb/s download rate, I think this is down to my adapter here are my speedtest results http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/3074311781
I really think I should be getting better connection so if you could suggest a good network adapter it would be much appreciated

You do not state the speed of your router.

Things to try:
a few other speedtest servers, I normally use the Maidenhead XILO server.
set your wireless aside for now and use a cable to patch your pc to the router.

Notes:-Steam rates your download speed in megabytes whereas your internet connection is rated in megabits. When steam reads 2MB/s it's using roughly 20mb of your internet.

Yep connection speed or standard b/g/n.

It fluctuates a lot ranging from 54.0-144.5mb/s but the average is around 130mb/s

Ok so it is an "n" std the card I suggested is capable of 300mb/s so either it may pick up speed or stay where it is at since the router can be 150mb/s.

The only thing is it says it is a dual band pci express adapter what's the difference between a dual band and just a pci express ?

Well it has both 2.4GHz and 5 GHz wifi frequencies speed up to 450Mb/s and is for PCIe X1 slot not PCI slot. Both the speed and dual band function are useless unless you have dual band router that is at least as fast as the card.
