A Good Warranty and Other Important Questions?

So its that time again for most of us - looking to build or buy a new computer.

Personally, I have neither the connections nor the patience to order all the parts and build one - so I'm looking to buy one from someone. My preferred vendor is Cyberpower, I worked with them in the past and everything always went well. However...

Now I'm more concerned with things such as warranties. Are there any good custom PC shops that have a good warranty? I know Falcon Northwest has one but at the same time I'm not only forced to get certain components that I don't want - power supplies that aren't powerful enough - and in the end, a price tag $2000+ more than a vendor such as Cyberpower.

What other alternatives are there for product security outside of a warranty? Are things more stable these days?

The main thing that has me concerned is liquid cooling. I'd like to get liquid cooling but I'm terrified because I neither know what kind of upkeep it requires, what all I'll have to install when my PC arrives, and worst of all... what happens if it springs a leak?

I'm worried about heat even moreso because of the quad core setup, or if I'm brave enough to go for dual GTX 8800's. I'm eyeballing that Tegan 1100watt PSU to power all that, but I'm wondering how bad the heat will be, how well a few fans and a liquid cooling system on the CPU would be.

The decisions just get harder and harder the more money you spend. And I don't want to be terribly cheap but I don't want to be 'forced' to get components I don't want with companies like Falcon.

So - anyone feel like tackling this issue? I'm sure its a pretty common problem for those who know what questions to ask.

Dual 8800's? What do you have? a 30in screen or bigger? Lol.

As for most the questions you asked, they could be answered with a simple search via google.

You might want to look for a company that has onsite repair included in the warenty... like Dell.

A 29 inch. May not be a 30 but I guess its close enough for your question.

Anyways, I'm not going to trust Dell. Liquid cooling isn't worth it, I don't overclock, and Cyberpower should be just fine.
