hi everyone
i need a recommendation for a graphic card that can play games on 1080p for this year and the next year (high settings would be fine)
i intend to change this card at the end of 2016 so i don't need anything fancy right now (the cheaper the better as long as it'll play high settings on 1080p till the end of 2016)
maximum budget is a 200$ but as i said the cheaper the better since i'm saving for a new card next year

These would be very strong choices in the $200 range. The R9 380 is the stronger card between the two, though I personally favor Nvidia GPU's.

Video Card: MSI Radeon R9 380 4GB Video Card ($204.99 @ Newegg)

the r9 285 is one of the shittiest cards per dollar and just sucks period, recommending the 285 is garbage, I just bought a 960 strix 4gb and I love it, planning to sli them , if I can actually find out on here if a 600w or 650 w psu is enough =] oh and I used to be a die hard xfx amd fan, but things have changed

Nonsense, my R9 285 had no problems pushing high settings on 2560x1440. Considering OP is talking about only 1080p, that's easy.

I love how you say the 285 is a garbage recommendation and tell him to get the 960 when the r9 285:
1) Performs the same or better than a GTX 960 (depending on 1080p or 1440p)
2) Is a lot cheaper than the GTX 960

Logical.

thank you all for your answers, i'm wondering if there are any cheaper cards that'll also perform good on 1080p but are around 150$ OR LESS, for i only need it for less than a year before i receive a big budget for a High-End GPU (would gtx 750 ti for example perform well as it
Again Thank you all

So it'll be sufficient for playing shadow of mordr or fallout 4 on high settings?

I said i was thinking about sli and i never said my card was better. I simply said the 285 is the wrong choice only 2gb vram. Its a waste. And probally 1440 worked great for this card . 3 years ago

i can get this 750 ti oc for under 150 cad so it should at the most only cost you 110-120 new egg is one of "the" most expensive places on earth to buy parts, wait till this friday and get it cheaper from somewere else :)
