A kinda weird problem with my Asus Gt610 2gb

So I got this little graphics card for my pc (bad choice though, thinking on getting a new one) and I now start to have a weird problem. Whichever display I put on the VGA output, after a while, the whole screen will look red-ish. I first though it could be the vga cable, so I bought a new one, but no fix. Then I tried with my second screen (I use 2 screens, the other one through a DVI adapter) and got the same problem with that screen, meaning that screens do work good. So what could it be? Could my Gt610 be damaged or something? Also one thing to notice, it seems that if I connect only through the vga cable (1 screen), it will look just fine. What could it be?

How long since you purchased the card (It is a bad choice, I agree)? Anyway, could you provide a screenie of the graphical errors you're getting? The only way to be really sure that it's your GPU is to install the little ah heck into another system then check if you see the same errors.

I would expect that this is a colour artifact. It causes the screen to change colour instead of showing up as an object. Your card is either defective, completely unable to do what you want it to, or both. Return the card and get something decent like a Radeon HD 6650. It's no heavyweight but it's not a flyweight like the GT 610 either.

I bought this card not too long ago, a few months. And no, I can't provide a screenie since it seems to be hardware problem, because the monitor connected To the VGA port, is the one that won't work properly. But then again, it could be any driver problems, or with the mobo, or something like that. Sadly, I don't have any means to test that, my other pc's are either old or just not really mine, so I just can't. And connecting only one screen through VGA doesn't seem to work now, so maybe later when I have some time I'll try reinstalling drivers or testing it on a diferent system.

I don't think I could return this card, but I could sell it away. I'm actually looking for the Radeon Hd 7870, since my hardware can pretty well handle it (you can check my previous question). But anyways, it may be defective. If you need a better description of how does it looks like, it is just like if the VGA cable is malfunctioning, showing messed up colours on your screen, on red tones.

I dont really think so, it's been quite a while since I bought it, but still DVI and HDMI works like a charm, so there is no real need to return it. If I were to sell it, I would just include the DVI adapter for anyone who wants it. I would consider that option though, maybe talk it through with the guy that sold me the card at the store, see if I could get a replacement...

Get a DVI-VGA adapter.
