Hey Hey!
So.......
I am building my first ever PC from scratch. I have dabbled in the past but never a full build or anything approaching high-end. I am far from an expert but learning what to do has been fun....trying to balance bang for my buck with matching components & some future-proofing.
The system will be used for both gaming and work so I have opted for AMD......well really I am going AMD because my monitor is 1440p with FreeSync and I am getting a PowerColor Radeon RX VEGA 64 Graphics Card for a great price from a miner friend.
After reading as much as I could and watching videos etc. I have come close to what I think will be my build and it is within my budget. I was hoping that some of you that are more of an expert than I could take a look and advise:
1. What RAM would you recommend? I want 32gb. 2 x 16gb preferably so I can extend to 64gb later. Everything I have read has said that the fail-safe for buying memory is to check the OVL of the Mobo or the RAM Manufacturer. For x470 boards I am finding it hard to find 3000+ Memory that is recommended.
2. If there is anything you would switch up/out from the build and why? I don't need the X470 Taichi Ultimate as 10gb p/s is not a concern!
I won't be overclocking (at least initially) so I want to get this as right as I can out of the box. So I don't think I need to watercool and from what I can read/see the Noctua NH-D15 SE-AM4 should be enough if I get the airflow in my case correct - and its thermal paste is meant to be good.
CPU: AMD - Ryzen 7 2700X 3.7GHz 8-Core Processor
CPU Cooler: Noctua - NH-D15 SE-AM4 82.5 CFM CPU Cooler
Motherboard: ASRock - X470 Taichi ATX AM4 Motherboard
Memory:
Storage: Kingston - A1000 480GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive
Storage: Team - L5 LITE 480GB 2.5" Solid State Drive
Video Card: PowerColor - Radeon RX VEGA 64 8GB Video Card
Case: Cougar - Panzer Max ATX Full Tower Case
Power Supply: SeaSonic - FOCUS Plus Gold 750W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply
Cheers,
The Banana
