Question Phone attached to PC (Win11) deleted files off phone - how can I recover them

I have a Samsung mobile and the storage space was getting full.

I have a 64gb SD card already in there so I connected the phone to my PC and dragged and dropped approximately 50 video files from the phones internal storage to the SD card. I got the usual Windows green bar and it took 11 minutes for the the copy operation to complete.

After it completed I completely forgot to check if all 50 files had copied over to the SD card, so I hit delete on the 50 files on the internal storage.

I've now checked the SD card and only 33 videos have copied over.

Is there a way to recover the files deleted from the internal storage?

I've tried disk drill on the PC but it doesn't know there's a phone connected to the PC.

I can't use CMD commands as you need a drive name for the phone (e.g F drive) but my PC doesn't assign a letter to the phone when it sees it in My Computer.

I've opened gallery on my phone and checked the recycle bin and it's empty.

I've tried the android app "Diskdigger" which was a complete waste of time as all it seems to be able to "recover" are videos that haven't ever been deleted. It basically just shows me my current gallery of the 33 videos that survived, and offers to "recover" the files, even though they aren't the videos I've lost.

Further info - My phone is not rooted. I have no idea to do this.
I haven't disconnected the phone from the PC since deleting the files.

Are the files permanently deleted or does the phone keep the files anywhere to be recovered?

Unless you have or are using an app that does have it's own "recycle bin", like some photo gallery apps and such, generally there is no system wide recycle bin and therefore once deleted, those files are gone.

That's not always the case though so it's worth trying a few different options. Have you tried the options listed here:
