A motherboard for intel i7 2600?

I'm going to build a pc mainly for gaming and to save money I was going to use parts from my old pc, such as the cpu, it's a intel i7 2600 which I'm fairly sure is still pretty reasonable, therefore if I'm right in belt being I would need a lga 1155 socket, just wondered what board people would recommend?

I'm not to bothered I don't want nothing cheap and nasty it would be nice if it was under £100 but anything up to £180 I guess?

Any Z97 motherboard will work perfectly... I'd preferably go with the ASRock Extreme 4.

Z97 sockets DO NOT WORK WITH i7 2600!!!!!!!

Z97 are LGA 1150 and the i7 2600 supports the 1155 socket.

Z97 DO NOT WORK WITH YOUR CPU!

Any Gigabyte Z68 motherboard should work with the Intel Core i7 2600k
All though i wood recommend getting a water-cooler to overclock the cpu as i got mine up to 4.7ghz
