I've got a really simple question and I don't know if it's important but I want to install Windows 10 on a new PC and I bought a USB stick (16 GB fyi) but there were a couple of pre installed files (those of the company). Can I connect that USB stick to my previous PC and delete those files or is it not that important?

Solution

Creating the Win 10 install on that USB will wipe out everything on it. No need to do it manually.

"A blank USB flash drive with at least 8GB of space or blank DVD (and DVD burner) if you want to create media. We recommend using a blank USB or blank DVD, because any content on it will be deleted. "

It then warns you again in the MediaCreation tool.

That's why I shake my head at people who create a Win 10 install, and then panic because all their stuff on that drive is gone.
It warned you at least twice.
