Suppose you have a friend named X and he wanna play games like assassin's creed3,cod(all version),farcry3,sniper elite and gw.And he has 2 options
1.combining an HD 6670 1gb ddr5 with 5 yr old system containing AMD SEMPRON+asus m2a mx(pci expresss x16)+2 gb ddr2 ram

2.Not to buy a graphic card but upgrading the pro(phenom),mobo(ASUS M5A78L-M LX V2) and rams (ddr3).

If he pots 2 help him valu his old system (just that3 components)
when he thought about the 2nd option he found that all the games that he wanna play recquires directx11 but the mobo supports 10 only.

Help him to make a decision.

Solution
if my friend would be on a strict budget the minimum solution for modern games is to get rid of that Sempron, replace it with an AMD FX 6350 (or an intel i3 3120, but i cand recommend dual cores, sry) (with new mobo obviously 😀) and if he still has some cash add a radeon 7790 (or, a radeon 7850, but then he must consider changing the PSU). Also, 2 GB of ram is kinda low, "he" will notice even increased performance in every day use of the PC (browsing, office etc) by adding another 2 GB.
