[SOLVED] a ram problem(i think)

hi everyone, and happy new year
so i had this problem, where when i installed one ram in the pc, it would boot up normally, but when i installed another ram, either dual channel or not dual channel, my pc wouldnt boot up and would turn of and on every 5 seconds. at first i thought the ram was the problem but they seem to work fine, and i tried using different rams to for dual channel and it work, altho the different ram i used were 2x2, the ones that has a problem is 2x16


my motherboard= ga-p75-d3 gigabyte
rams with problem= corsair vengeance ddr3 2 8gb ram sticks
i tried dual channel with 2 2gb sticks and it seems to work.

Right, its CMZ8GX3M1A1600C10

Yeah, in a pair I think that set is model CMZ16GX3M2A1600C10. I would try clearing the CMOS before starting it up with two sticks.

Ah ok ill give it a shot, how do u suggest i clear the cmos btw? (Sorry for the late reply)

Short the two CMOS pins as shown on page 28 of your MANUAL for a few seconds with a metallic object like a screwdriver (while shut down).
