Hello,

So, I pulled the trigger on a EVGA 980Ti (nvida board) reference, Superclocked on release day.

My issue is that from the moment ordering I have been on the hunt for a 1440p or 1600p monitor to give it some sense.

I cannot find a monitor yet that I can pull the trigger on. I am at right now on a 1080p HDTV (HTPC).

I don't have a massive budget, $300-400.

But,

Should I sell and recoup some of what I spent and buy something (GPU) that can manage 1440p comfortably and then buy a monitor?

If so above, what monitor and gpu. Or keep the 980ti and refer me to a monitor in the rice bracket....

Its one of those "Ihad the $ for a high end card and didnt think on the monitor

No problem and it's the same one as HSCN has and the one bossyfins posted a link to. $399 right now at amazon but I would seriously wait till the 15th and see if it goes on sale...
Just find a nice 1440p IPS monitor. There are a few. I have a BenQ GW2765HT (http://www.amazon.com/BenQ-GW2765HT-27-Inch-LED-Lit-Monitor/dp/B00KYCSRSG) and it looks amazing. There is also a similar Dell model and one from Nixeus in that same price range.

The benq at $400 is a good monitor, I have it with 980 ti. There's supposed to be some huge sale through amazon prime members on the 16th for some anniversary, saying like black friday prices. Maybe check then, you can get a 30 day free trial for prime and then cancel it after the sale if they have anything good.

If worse came to worse, I would keep the 980 ti and play it on your 1080 p monitor until you can save enough for the monitor you want. The 980 ti is so worth it.

What was that model # exactly for the Benq?

Thanks for you post.

If there's a super good deal on something like the asus rog swift or acer predator , I might try and exchange it through Prime.

But it's a pretty good 1440p, IPS monitor that works well for gaming for $399.
