Hi!
So in my last thread here a helpful bloke let me know that i need to change my RAM config. Now because i definately did not need ECC RAM i am planning on getting rid of it and getting either 4x4gb or 4x8gb depending on what my budget is looking like at the time of purchasing. Now because i'm a bit of a tight-arse i want to buy single sticks of the generic ram as opposed to the fancy disco ram because it's meant to be a workstation anyway.
Is it ok for me to buy 4 single sticks instead of a 4 pack? I heard they run testing on the 4 packs to make sure they'll be compatible but will it really matter? Or if need be can i get away with 2 packs of 2 if single ones won't do the trick?
Thanks for the help
