A very strange freeze/hang issue

Gentlemen.

My month-old rig (7700k, 1080 Ti, 960 PRO) has a bizarre freeze issue I can't handle anymore. It happens right out of the blue and (seemingly) regardless of what I'm doing; the mouse cursor starts freezing randomly and clicking things is randomly unresponsive, when clicked things will randomly take a sec to react, and the only way to fix it is to reboot. No processes out of the ordinary, cpu and ram usage is normal, no problem is indicated anywhere whatsoever. Even video and sound playback is unaffected! It can happen several times a day or it can be totally fine for a week.

I am forced to reboot every time because normal use is impossible when it happens, so you understand how incredibly frustrating this is. It's a fresh install with the usb tool from MS and the bios is up to date. I never experienced anything like this with my old 980 Ti rig, what the hell is my problem?

Thanks.

Use Event Viewer to look for error codes and warning in the logs.

Reference from within this forum:

You should be able to find error codes or warnings that occur just before or at the time of the freezes.

Right-clicking any error will provide more information about what happened.

Be patient with Event Viewer. It may report no data or log entries however, after a minute or so the log will populate.

Explore the Event Viewer logs until you get a sense of the contents and how to manuver about.

Then zero in on any errors of interest. One more note: there will always be errors of some sort. Many are routine.

You want errors that correspond with freeze ups.

Happened again today right as I closed Teamviewer, but nothing showed up on the logs at all.. any other ideas?
