A very worrying phone call . . .

My granddad just called saying he had a phone call from an international number saying "his pc is about to crash and its downloading something it shouldn't be" . . .
he doesn't download sh*t anyone know of any scams going on ?

there are scams in india in which they tell you that your pc is broken and you have to but something to fix it.

The answer to that question is literally anywhere, you would be surprised how far info like that spreads.
Or they were just calling every phone number sequentially hoping they find someone gullible.
