Hey Guys !
I bought the A10 6800k , and used dual geaphics for a while.

Now , i will be upgrading my GFX to a 7790 or a GTX 650ti amp! edition.

My question is , Will my processor be enough for gaming at least for the next 2 years ?
Bcoz i recently bought it ,

AND I WILL NOT BE USING THE INBUILT GFX, ONLY THE CPU POWER.

I have no more money to buy a CPU as im buying a GPU,
I can play BF3 at medium @ 40 fps if thats any help.

*Crosses fingers and hopes to get a positive reply*

Hi,
SUMMARY BENCHMARK (to choose graphics card): http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/ASUS/GeForce_GTX_650_Ti_Direct_Cu_II/28.html

That APU isn't too bad when paired with a better graphics card. Here's some proof:
http://archive.benchmarkreviews.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=1169&Itemid=63&limit=1&limitstart=10

Bioshock Infinite: 22FPS to 125FPS
Tomb Raider: 20 to 91FPS

That's when the APU (CPU only) is paired with an HD7850. For very CPU-demanding games the APU's CPU will become more of a bottleneck. Your DUAL setup might get 75% more frames but likely they stuttered more. AMD's improved their graphics but last time I checked Dual Graphics had issues that Crossfire did not. Serious issues.

So an HD7790 would produce...

If you were gonna use that CPU just for its processing power and not its graphics capabilities then you shouldn't have gotten an APU.

I would have suggested getting one of amd's higher end FX processors such as the FX 8320 for about 10 to 12 bucks more than what you paid for the a10 6800k.

But seeing as you don't have any other option then I guess its gonna have to do.

It'll last! No doubt about it! Unless you are trying to beat somebody in FPS, or a 3DMark score, don't worry about going crazy!

On here, and a lot of forums, you will be told to sell it and purchase something else lol. If you are looking to do up a new system or improve for cheap, private message me and I'll get you a good deal!

He's right so don't take it personal. A lot of time somebody is asking for something almost impossible and getting new hardware is the only REAL answer.

In the OP's case, he doesn't NEED new hardware, but new hardware is better suited for his needs.

And I'm sure most people on here can help him with an upgrade or a new build. No need to do it through PM. It's always better to get as many opinions as possible.

Hi,
SUMMARY BENCHMARK (to choose graphics card): http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/ASUS/GeForce_GTX_650_Ti_Direct_Cu_II/28.html

Your DUAL setup might get 75% more frames but likely they stuttered more. AMD's improved their graphics but last time I checked Dual Graphics had issues that Crossfire did not. Serious issues.

So an HD7790 would produce higher frame rates with less stutter than your current dual-GPU setup.

Regardless of what graphics card you get, I suggest you carefully TWEAK the game settings towards a specific goal such as:
a) 60FPS VSYNC ON, or
b) 40FPS VSYNC OFF

40FPS VSYNC OFF has little lag, but screen tearing can be bad (it varies). Don't aim for 40FPS but turn on VSYNC or you'll really be at 30FPS and lag (sluggishness) can be pretty bad.

I recommend a 2GB card. Even with an HD7790/HD7850 1GB may be problematic soon.

Three cards:
HD7850 2GB: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102998

HD7790 2GB: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125454

HD7790 1GB: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127726

The GTX650Ti's are very similar, but MANTLE should provide a boost to BF4 so stick with AMD since if you play BF3 it's likely you'll play BF4.
