A10 7850k dual graphics with sapphire 7770 HD

Is it possible to run an A10 7850k with a sapphire 7770 hd? I already have a sapphire 7770 hd and was wondering if I could run it with the new apu as it would minimize my costs.

maybe i am wrong, but the new APUs have r7 series graphics (with mantle and true audio), so, i guess, the minimum is a 7790... but, i just guess , because the 7790 is the only card that has the same arhitecture with the APU from the 77xx series (GCN)

It sure would be nice if there was an easy way to figure something like that out. I tried looking on AMD's site and just couldn't find a chart that would tell you which APU was crossfire capable with whichever card.

Well according to amd the 7770 does have GCN architecture:

From what I've heard it only works with R7 series cards.

Also, according to the article below, an A8 7600 was set up in Dual Graphics with a R7 250.

So I assume the more powerful A10 7850k can be set up in Dual Graphics with a R7 260x.

Yes, it will work.
The architechture in the new APU's gpu is Cape Verde, Cape Verde includes the 7730, 7750, 7770, R7 250, and R7 250X, no others.
All of the above cards will work in dual graphics with the 7850K, the 7790 and 260X WILL NOT as they are bonaire architechture.
All 7000 series and R7 and R9 series are GCN, doesn't mean they're all crossfire compatible.
