Hello,
I have X7 and its USB wires got damaged so I stripped it and detached it from USB terminal. I know that Red wire is +5V, black wire is ground, Green is Data + and White is Data -. Can some one tell me how can I fix my mouse by attaching these wires with any spare USB terminal by soldering and in which order. There is another spare wire without any insulation which was attached with the metal tip of USB, I don't know whats the function of that wire. If you see the image closely you can see that wire on right of RED wire. Is it necessary to fix this wire? Below I have attached a picture for better understanding.

Thanks for the info, I was thinking the same..can I use any ordinary usb terminal and attach to my mouse to fix it?

Chances are you will get too much signal loss from the repair job and it won't function correctly, you also risk shorting out the USB and your motherboard.

I'd just buy a new one.
