I've got an A7N8X-X with an AMD 3000+ with 400 speed DDR RAM (PC 3200).
Is there a chart somewhere showing what to set the FSB & the CPU multiplier
to to obtain the clock freq the CPU is designed to run at? I know the AMD
3000+ runs a lot slower than 3G.

I believe the recent XP3000+'s are multiplier locked, so just set the
FSB to 200 Mhz (which the marketeers call 400 Mhz) and it should work
just fine. Actually IIRC the BIOS should detect the CPU and default the
FSB to that speed anyway, unless you fiddled with something.

There are indeed lots of charts, however the fastest way of finding the
answer is to google for 'AMD XP 3000+ multiplier FSB', and you'll have
more info that you could ever need. The 4th link down is an exact match
for the question you asked.
