A8-6500 Overclock to 4.1 GHz+?

I have the A8-6500 and a Geforce GTX 960 ACX 2.0+. My issue is I'm receiving terrible bottleneck on CPU intensive games. I can run GTA V on Very High/Ultra settings at about 40-70 FPS with the occasional spike down to 30-35 range. When I'm running the game though I'm using about 50-60 % of my GPU and maxing the CPU % at 99. Memory never exceeds 66% usage. I'm wanting to overclock this CPU as much as possible with still being safe. I'm getting terrible FPS dips on GTA 4 with enb mods and want to fix that issue as well.

I've tried overclocking with Overdrive but I can never exceed 3.8 GHz. I need to get it to a constant 4.1 or higher if possible. Also if there's another way to OC besides Overdrive that'd be awesome as it doesn't seem to OC properly or effectively. Any help is appreciated.

NO. The APUs DO NOT even qualify for Minimum gameplay. APUs like the A8 are limited BY DESIGN (has NOTHING to do with Ghz speed, but cores, amount of 'paths' for the cores to work in, how much on board memory is used for Cache, etc. AKA the HARDWARE DESIGN ITSELF). APUs are made for LOW END, LOW POWER, LOW COST GENERAL PC USE, not GAMING.

REMEMBER: MINIMUM Means playing 1024x768 Low graphics and getting AT LEAST 15FPS
RECOMMENDED: Is the true 'gamer's experiance' as 'I saw on youtube'.

Recommended System Requirements
OS: Windows 8.1 64 Bit, Windows 8 64 Bit, Windows 7 64 Bit Service Pack 1
Processor: Intel Core i5 3470 @ 3.2GHZ (4 CPUs) / AMD X8 FX-8350 @ 4GHZ (8 CPUs)...

Whenever you have a question about you can always check with www.canirunit.com and see how your hardware stacks up in any game. It doesn't matter if you believe your " PC can run the game at reccomended " if you don't have THAT hardware or better then you CAN NOT run it 1080P High+ and expect SMOOTH game play and 60FPS.

Since you invested in a nice 960, and probably have a nice PSU to power it, I would suggest getting a i5 from www.slickdeals.net for $399 (for example http://slickdeals.net/f/7665554-dell-inspiron-desktop-computer-660-intel-i5-8gb-ram-1tb-399-99-staples-com?v=1) you would then swap out the PSU and GPU and you be set with a fine gamer's PC.

Ah I see. I've been considering buying a "barebones PC" and using the parts from my current PC to complete it. I could use my 1 TB HD, G.SKILL Ripjaws 8 GB RAM, DVD drive, and PSU for the barebones. I was looking at one which came with a FX-8320 and a performance cooling kit.

A6's and A8's non K don't overclock so well, You would have to be damn lucky to get it past 3.8ghz. A Athlon II X4 750K on the other hand will go 4.5ghz on air and 5ghz on Water, you will get the same overclocks with just about all the A10's as well.

Here is my first attempt using a Hyper 212 Evo adn sitting in the Basement

Selling your A8 6500 $80 to $90
Buying Athlon II X4 750K $65 to $75

You would make a bit of profit and have a Chip that will O.C much higher.
