Hi all,

I read somewhere that since the APU a8-6600k has a built in gpu, by adding 16 or 32gb ram ddr3 1866 with it does make your gaming and video editing better specially on high settings on some games.

now the question is:

For someone who's quite tight with the budget, Would it be better to have that set up or should I just buy a mid-end discrete card and a different CPU?

If I may also ask, can you provide feedbacks on both options? like pros and cons.

Thanks!

Getting 16 or 32gb of ram wont improve performance of any igp anyways, the only thing that effects igp speed is ram clock speed. The only way ram would negatively effect your fps is you are reaching the limit of your 8 gb system ram.

But something like a pentium g3258...

i read somewhere in this forum that it's better to have CPU + discrete GPU like fx processors and other discrete GPUs but the problem is, I already bought the a8-6600k and I'm about to buy a 16gb or 32gb ram.

So before I do and before it's not too late, I would like to get more in depth feedbacks for both options. If the 2nd option is really better, I can sell my a8-6600k to a friend.
