Abit AN8-V Overheating?

I just received this board from Abit and installed it with the following hardware:

Athlon 3700+ cpu, 2 gig psc DDR400 ram, HIS XT1950 video, Maxtor 60gig drive, 2 cd/dvd drives, new 600W ultra PSU.

The system boots to code 7F but dies after about 3-5 minutes. I tried cleaning the old thermal paste from the CPU/heatsink and replacing it. Still dies. I've reseated the CPU, reseated the RAM, etc but it won't keep running longer than about 3 minutes. I'm guessing it's overheating? I have 3 case fans aside from the cpu and motherboard fans. If it is overheating, is there somewhere in the BIOS where I can regulate the fans? The fans in the cpu don't seem to be working very hard.

Thanks!

Try monitoring the temperatures on the BIOS page that shows temps (i.e. go into BIOS, go to that page, and just watch the temps; do not continue to Windows startup). That should tell you if it's the CPU, system temps, other temps, or something else.
Also, please tell us the model number of the case you are using, exactly where the "3 case fans" are mounted in the case, and what types of fans they are.
Also, what's the model number of your power supply? Ultras in general are not known for their quality, and if the PS is marginal to start with, it could get to the point of failure as it warms up during use (PSs provide less current the hotter they are, and the older they are).

The Ultra model is ULT-XF600. I just ran the system until it died again and checked the temps using the uGuru utility. Nothing got too hot!...but it still died. The CPU was up to 32C and the system and PSU were 26C and 28C respectively. The case fans are 70mm (I think...they're the standard size)...one in front and back and one on the side. I'm guessing now that temp isn't the issue? Any ideas?

Thanks again for your input!
