[SOLVED] Abit fatality fp-in9 sli gpu error

I recently picked up this motherboard from local store. Everytging works fine, well almost. Motherboard can't detect gpu. Gpu does power on, but after a while bios beeps 1 long 2 shorts (gpu error). I noticed that motherboard does not have sli switch card. Is that ther reason of not working gpu? It's not a probpem with gpu, I tested it, works fine on other motherboards.

I remember seeing that board back in it's heyday and going bonkers to buy it, in spite of not having either the hardware or the money or the need for buying it. Good find!

So my predictions was right. Also I want to ask another thing. Does sli card have to be specifically from abit? Can i use sli card from Asus for example?
