I've used the kingston value ssd 64 gb, and was able to do a drive to drive copy of xp pro using maxblast 5 software. Maxblast 5 works with maxtor and seagate drives, and possibly other brands. If you have a different brand, search your hardrive manufacturer's website for similar software. After assigning the ssd as a boot drive, maxblast rebooted and started copying files; took about 8-10 minutes to complete. Then shutdown, and disconnect your old drive. I required no additional device drivers for the ssd to work. Starmicro carries the 3.2 800 fsb northwood with 512 cache for $30. The product id is 1029. The 2.8 version is only about $10. I don't recommend any prescotts with 1 meg cache; they run warmer and don't offer any improved performance, and will require you to buy a better heatsink to handle the additional heat.
