What's the difference between KR7A-RAID and KR7A133-RAID? I know that the KR7A133-RAID is the newer version. Is there a big difference between these 2 boards?

I ordered a KR7A133-RAID last week at jcshopper.com, but they gave me a KR7A-RAID. Should I exchange it with the KR7A133-RAID? They are at the same price.

The KR7a-RAID has ALWAYS had ATA133 support. There is a new KR7a-133 that now has ATA133 support (the original KR7a did not). I hope you didn't pay more for a "KR7a-RAID133" version.

I heard someone say the new board took care of the problem with the Raid. You know the VIA bug, which I think there was a down load for anyways. That's what I was thinking, but I could also be blowing smoke.

Well, I'm going to have to eat my words (and hopefully not my hat). I would've thought I'd hear about this, but Abit does in fact have a "KR7a-133-RAID" listed on their site. 4 boards in total, although the original KR7a isn't listed anymore.

Ok, I've figured out what the difference is. The KR7a-133-RAID (Abit's worst-named motherboard ever) has full ATA133. The orifinal KR7a-RAID has ATA100 on the normal ports, and ATA133 on the RAID ports. The difference is the Southbridge (obviously). Abit went from the VT8223 to the VT8223a to get ATA133 support (the Southbridge number could be off, I don't remember for sure).

I check out Abits sight a little bit. It seems a little confusing. Are you saying the new board will accept 133 HDD, and not just on the raid? If that is so that's great, sound great to me. Since the Iwill let me down, I threw in my board, sounds like I know which one to get. Any ideal when it's coming out.

I just bought myself a K7RA-RAID, and listed in the features is ATA133 support, it appears they shortened the name of the K7RA133-Raid.
