Question Abnormal slow boot time after PC hardware upgrade!

Hello community!

So I've recently done a Ram, Motherboard, and CPU upgrade for my rig, but I still kept the same hard drives.

With my old hardware, booting would take a max of 15 seconds to get to my desktop. After the upgrade, the pc speaker always beeps like it's the first post every time I turn it on, and the Windows loading screen takes about a minute or two to get through.

I know this would be fixable by resetting the while drive and reinstalling Windows, but I don't want to remove 600 gbs worth of games on it.

I've tried startup repair, but it always ends up failing. Any ideas? Thank you for your time!

15 sec on a hdd? are you sure it is not hibernation?
and with major change on hardware, best to reinstall

I forgot to mention I'm on an SSD. I guess I should reinstall since it's probably still got old hardware information on it. Thanks anyways man.

You can backup your games then copy them back into the Launcher App's (Steam, Origin...) library folder when you're done and most should work.
