about previous generations of i5 and i7 cpus

is that true 1st & 2nd gen processor cant handle more than 1333 mhz ram(1600mhz..)?according to ark intel some cpus support only 1333mhz memory types

Depends what kind of CPU and motherboard were using Core™i5-2400 only supports 1333mhz 7-7-7-20@1.65V with MSI P67A-GD65 motherboard, same CPU with Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD4 can use 2133Mhz
9-10-9-24@1.65V. So it really depends on the motherboard
