Currently i'm looking to change my network connection to a fiber. But my network provider supply all the things need for the connection including router and telephone. But the router their giving has a custom firmware. And no one can change it.
So i'm looking forward to buy a new router with the connection.
But i can't find a best quality router that support the SC connector with phone line.

Model which is providing with the connection - Huawei HG8347R

Can any one point me a best quality router ( a tp-link or something would be best ) :)

Im still try to understand the technical thing with fiber. let me put this way,
It Hard to use two routers with the current environment :pt1cable:
But with the VOIP thing, i can't use a Gigabit Ethernet Media Converter.
So i think the only solution is to stick to that ISP's router.

Or can i use a Gigabit Ethernet Media Converter and a VOIP supported router ? ( Im not sure about it )
Also im only going to spend around 100$ max, so cisco is out. 😉

Just because it runs SC optical connection means very little. The optics vary a lot, some vendors use single fiber strands and multiple lasers other use multiple strands for transmit and receive.

Your largest issue is the huawai box likely uses GPON and not ethernet over the optical connection. You can not use a gigabit media converter if the ISP is using GPON

Yp it uses a single fiber strand and that router sucks .. So i have to stick to that router. There is a GPON media converter also available ..
But my ISP is not providing any information about the technology their using, I had to look through some images to find the router model also.
