Question About selecting gpu.

I have a pc(Core 2 duo e8400,3gb ram hdd 160 gb) and i wanted to buy a gpu and i wanted an advice from you that (Amd radeon hd 8490 1gb) is good for gaming for this system and what type of games can be run on it with this gpu

What is the make and model of your PSU and how old is it? I'd stick with a GTX750Ti. What sort of games will you want to play and at what resolution(gaming details)?

8490 is not worth the trouble.
The minimum for any sort of games might be a GT 1030.
It will run on most any psu.
GTX750ti mentioned above is probably the strongest that you could use.

8490 will struggle heavily with any somewhat modern game even at lowest settings. some older games, or graphically simpler games may be playable.

look online at people using the 8490 and make you own decision.

You get the idea.

For fast action games a good graphics card is in order.
For cpu centric games like sims, strategy and mmo you may well find your processor inadequate.
Even with quad core upgrade.

such a good website it is ,thanks for replying. I was asking this question because my cousin also bought a graphic card with this cpu and the graphic card is nvidia geforce 8600 gts 512 mb and he is playing games like sniper ghost warrior 2.Cod Mw 2 and i think also 3,Fifa 12 easily almost all 2013 gen. games etc that's why i am asking is that gpu is able to handle these games?
