i have the MSI Z370-A PRO and i want to find the acceptable ram that this motherboard will take...i looked on the msi website but i not sure where to go to find this...if someone could help me on this i would appreciate it...thanks...

There's only a few actual OEM for ram, such as Samsung, Micron, SkHynix etc. They sell their chips to every brand of ram there is, for every single model, color, speed, size etc. Added up, if there's 10 OEMs, 100 brands, 10 different models per brand, 20 different types, colors, sizes, speeds per model, what you'd end up with is a QVL that's 10,000 pages deep, covering 10 million different actual sticks, sets etc and that's for every single model of mobo in any particular brand lineup. The board would be obsolete by the time it was finished.

So mobo ppl only test a few more popular brands, in a few sizes and speeds. It really is more of a Qualified Vendor List, not a Qualified Ram List.

Chances of incompatibility of any modern ram, bought and used in a complete single kit on an Intel mobo is so remote, you'd have better luck counting on getting struck by lightning.
