Hello,
I am having an issue with one of my windows XP machines in opening files.
For example:
I have a .txt file and when I double click on it it opens up fine in notepad. But if I right click and click on 'Open With..' (to use say, word pad instead) I immediately get an access denied error.
I have another file that doesn't have a file extension and previously when I double clicked to open I would get a list of programs to select from. Now with that same file when I double click I get the access denied error. If I add .txt to the end of that file it will open in notepad, but open with still gives me access denied.
I have checked the permissions for these files in a command line and the permissions look okay. Seems to only get access denied when I try the 'Open With' feature.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
