Access is denied

When trying to access my desktop on my external laptop hard drive i receive this box.

D:\Documents and settings\S\Desktop is not accessible.

If the drive is a system drive taken from another Windows computer, you need to "take ownership" of those folders where access is currently denied. Windows thinks an unauthorized user is trying to open someone else's files which were created under a different user account.
